SWG has been trading successfully for over 18 years. The growth and success of the company is driven by being fully focused on attention to detail in every aspect of the service we provide our customers. 

We are an innovative and agile company with a reach across Mid and North Wales, Shropshire, Cheshire and other counties in the region dedicated to building safe, value for money schemes which achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.

Working with clients from diverse sectors, we have successfully delivered high quality, multi-million pound refurbishment and renovation contracts together with new build projects in respect of the health care, educational, private and public sector housing and social care sectors. We are also experienced in delivering projects in respect of commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors. 

Whether it is building new homes, renovating and/or converting older properties, delivering kitchen and bathroom upgrades, or external improvement works, SWG uses Accredited local suppliers and subcontractors to supplement our own extensive directly employed workforce.

Steven Gough

Steven Gough – Managing Director

Steve founded the Company in 2000. Under his guidance SWG continues to grow from strength to strength. Steve believes personal development and ongoing training of employees is key in cultivating a well motivated and stable workforce which delivers the values, aims and objectives of the Company.

Julian Kirkham

Julian Kirkham – Director

Julian joined SWG in 2016 and has 35 years’ experience in the Construction Industry, 25 of which are in Management and Director roles. He has overseen a wide variety of Construction projects for both Private and Public sector clients from houses to hospitals.
 
Julian is responsible for the smooth running of the Company and for all operations on our sites. He ensures Contract Managers have at their disposal all that is required to successfully deliver projects.

Julian joined SWG in 2016 and has 35 years’ experience in the Construction Industry, 25 of which are in Management and Director roles. He has overseen a wide variety of Construction projects for both Private and Public sector clients from houses to hospitals.

Jacqui Gough – Company Secretary

Nigel Stephens – Commercial Director

Nigel manages a team of Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Buyers and Contract Managers. He is responsible for the financial management of projects and contracts, putting together bids for new work and negotiating and agreeing contracts from inception to completion. Nigel also maintains good relations with our network of subcontractors and the wider supply chain.

Jamie Love – SHEQ Manager

Jamie is in charge of the safety, health, environment, and quality assurance side of the business. He supervises and coordinates work systems to ensure that the services of the Company meet the highest quality standards and that the working conditions of the Company are favourable and safe.
Jamie is an experienced Health and Safety practitioner and works closely with employees and subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment for all.

Jason Morrissey – Contract Manager, SWG Mechanical & Electrical

Jason has 28 years in the electrical industry, mostly in supervisory and management roles. He manages the SWG Mechanical & Electrical division, his team have capability to design, install and maintain installations in commercial, industrial and domestic properties.

Sarah manages the Accounts department, from the day to day financial operations within the Company, including management accounts, payroll, invoicing and other transactions to external regulatory requirements.

Mike has held a number of senior positions in Private and Public sector organisations. He has recently joined the Company and has overall responsibility for ensuring Contracts reflect the requirements of the customer and are aligned with the aims and objectives of the Company.
