Newtown Hospital
Alteration and refurbishment works at the Fan Gorau building, Montgomery Royal Hospital.
The works included internal alterations to form a new reception area, installation of a sliding reception hatch, external aluminium door sets with door entry system, internal doors, frames and ironmongery. New floor finishes and skirting was installed throughout, along with new plasterboard ceilings, full toilet refurbishment, complete redecoration and alterations to the M&E installations was also completed. This project was delivered in two phases in a live hospital environment, which enabled the Trust to keep consulting rooms in use throughout the work. Particular attention was paid to keeping noise, dust and vibration to a minimum. Sound insulated hoardings were erected in the corridors to provide a physical barrier between the site works and the operational clinic.
