Here’s to Abermule! We’ve handed out £1,500 to community projects.

We are in the process of finalising project in Abermule, Powys - and one thing we love to do is to help others doing their own projects nearby!

ABERMULE COMMUNITY COUNCIL

We’ve handed £1,000 to Abermule Community Council to help create a great outdoor inclusive play space for children of all ages and disabilities in the village.

Councillor Gareth Pugh, County Councillor for the Dolforwyn ward, said: “I am very pleased to receive this kind contribution from SWG, which will go towards a recreational facility in Abermule for children of all abilities.

“On behalf of Abermule Community Council I’d like to thank SWG very much.”

“After the apprenticeship finished I stayed with them and started doing more advanced carpentry jobs, fitting staircases and roofing, then went on to start fitting bathrooms and doing plumbing too.”

FRIENDS OF ABERMULE

We are also very pleased to have been able to give £450 and a hamper as a raffle prize to the Friends of Abermule, which is currently raising money for new gym equipment at the village school.

Jayne Harrison, head of Abermule School, said: “We are so grateful for this contribution, we can now buy some much needed gymnastics equipment.

“All the children will be able to benefit from this. Here at Abermule School we promote good well being through physical activity.”

We love to give back to the communities where we work and help out in any way we can, so we’re thrilled to have been able to make a difference to these two groups in the village.
