St Laurence CE Primary School project is complete
The school was a live environment during the project, so extra care had to be taken to ensure disruption was kept to an absolute minimum.
We were pleased to work closely with the school to not only ensure pupils’ safety, but to also keep them updated on the project, as they were understandably excited to see the new classrooms being built in front of their eyes.
Stephen Matthews, headteacher, said: “I have been impressed with the standard of work undertaken by SWG over the last 12 months in building the extension to St Laurence’s School.
“Not only has the quality of the work been exceptional but the manner in which the company’s staff have liaised and communicated with the school throughout the project has been excellent.
“They have been professional, polite, and very accommodating: nothing has been too much trouble for them. This standard of cooperation is very much appreciated especially when building work took place throughout term time.
“The experience that we have had working with SWG has been far more satisfactory than any other construction company that we have worked with. Thank you!”
Suzanne Claydon, of Shropshire Council’s Property Services Group, added: “The SWG Construction team have been a pleasure to work with on a project that has had its challenges structurally, together with working in a live school environment.
“However, the issues were dealt with in a professional manner and the work organised and executed competently.
“I know that the school are impressed by the standard of workmanship and very pleased with the project delivery and I look forward to working with SWG again in the future.”
